The whole weekend
Bib collection, the Saturday shakeout from Little Spencer, the Spoken Streets tour, the Kid Zone and the forty-five-year exhibition. None of them cost extra.
Race shirts and the rest of the 45th-year range are sold separately, all weekend, at the Retail Village.
Will the marathon sell out again?
It filled all 300 places in 2026 and closed before race week. The 45th has 500, and more reasons to come. If you want The Full Three, enter in October, not March.
Is the course hard?
It is honest rather than hard. One real climb — up to the lighthouse at 8–9 km, and again at 29–30 km for marathon runners — with the zig-zag dropping you back down off the other side. Plus a long exposed stretch on the ocean where the wind can be a factor. The men's record of 2:24:17 tells you it's quick on a good day. The six-hour cut-off tells you it's generous on a bad one.
Can I change distance after entering?
What's the refund policy?
If circumstances require a refund, 60% of your entry fee will be returned between 1 October 2026 and 11 February 2027. After 11 February 2027 no refunds will be processed. All correspondence to
brc6230marathon@gmail.com.
Can I transfer my entry to someone else?
Yes. You can hand your entry to someone else, as long as you name them — email
brc6230marathon@gmail.com with the person taking your place.
Are there pacers?
Yes, in The Full Three and The Three. Marathon pacers at 3:00, 3:30, 4:00 and 4:30. Half marathon pacers at 1:30 and 2:00. They come from the WA Running Podcast team, some of them club members, and they’ll talk to you the whole way.
Can I run with a pram, or a dog?
No. Every race is on a certified course with people running for a time, and a pram or a dog in that field is a risk to the runners, the dog and the baby. We love all three — just not on the course. Bring them to the finish line; the crowd on Ocean Drive is the best part of the morning.
Is there somewhere to leave a bag?
Yes, bag drop in the Runners Village from 5:30am. It is staffed all morning and you'll need your bib number to collect.
What if I've never run a race before?
Enter The Drive. It goes out at 9:30 when the crowd is already there, it's five flat kilometres on Ocean Drive, walkers are welcome, and nobody will comment on your time. Plenty of the marathon field started exactly this way.
Do I need to be a club member?
No. But members get 10% off every distance, and membership is open to anyone, anywhere — join through
the club’s website.
